Event description

Description

This free, one-day Financial Literacy professional development program is open to all New England Pre-K to college educators and pre-service teachers. The program will increase your confidence and understanding of personal finance.

For the 3rd year, this program will utilize the National Jump$tart Teacher Training model. The Jump$tart Teacher Training Alliance (J$TTA) is a collaborative endeavor designed to standardize teacher training in personal finance through a shared Model called Jump$tart Financial Foundations for Educators, (J$FFE) which will ensure consistency and rigor in teacher training programs across the country.

Two modules will be presented, covering the core topics of Spending and Financial Planning, and Savings and Investment. Teachers who have participated in previous Teacher Trainings are welcome to attend, and will have the opportunity to explore new applications of the personal finance materials.

The training will be a great opportunity for educators to share their ideas on incorporating Jump$tart National Standards in K-12 Personal Finance Education and CEE National Standards for Financial Literacy into classrooms.

Please save the date and register ASAP- seating is limited to the first 50!

Documentation of participation in the professional development program will be provided upon completion of the training. Questions may be directed to Matt Paradise, MA Jump$tart President.

The October 20th Financial Literacy program is organized by MA Jump$tart, MA Council on Economic Education, and Fidelity Investments.

Many thanks to Fidelity Investments for generously hosting and supporting this valuable program!
