Guys and Dolls, break out your knee dusters, boas and get togged to the bricks! You are cordially invited to join us at the TeaLula Speakeasy Parlor, Saturday, April 23rd at 7:30 pm. It’s gonna be swanky! The cat’s meow! The bee’s knees!

Grab your favorite flapper or sheik and forget prohibition as the tea shop turns into a juice joint while we sip on some tea-infused hooch and moonshine. No teetotalers here! Expect some hot jazz and tasty, decadent bites before we get busted up by the cops! All for only 35 clams!

The $35 admission fee is tax deductible and 100% goes directly to the Third Eye Theatre Ensemble supporting its upcoming production of The Filthy Habit, which will be presented three times during the Chicago Fringe Festival August 31-September 11. Click here to be notified of the dates and times of the performances.

About the Filthy Habit: Set in Manhattan in the summer of 2003, The Filthy Habit tells the story of Susan, a newlywed and a sneaky smoker married to Gil. Though sweet, Gil is an ardent health nut, and Susan must hide her smoking from him. However, when Mayor Bloomberg bans smoking from all bars and restaurants, as well as offices and public buildings, Susan brings her habit home. Gil's bloodhound nose catches a whiff of her cigarette, and blind to the idea that his wife might smoke, he assumes the worst -- that she is having an affair with a smoker, who must have just left the apartment.

Now, to find out what happens next, come see The Filthy Habit this fall.

Founded by Park Ridge opera singer, Rena Ahmed, the Third Eye Theatre Ensemble was deemed the Debut Company of 2014 by Chicago Classical Review. Her company strives to champion operatic works that are seldom performed while advocating social change and providing Chicago's emerging artists with performance opportunities.
