Curator's Take:
“In its final moments, Adam Sekuler’s film 36 Hours captures a truly wondrous moment of the human experience. Though the experimental nature of the dance sequences and the vérité moments of a woman in the throes of labor might make some think this isn’t a movie for them, in fact, the opposite is true. The juxtaposition of the strength and beauty of a woman’s body, and what it can achieve, should be noted and recognized by everyone.”
