Films Across Borders: Stories of Water
"The River and the Wall" (Opening Night Concert, Film and Discussion)
The River and the Wall documentary follows five friends on horses, mountain bikes, and canoes as they explore the environmental and human impacts of a southern border wall along the wilderness of the Texas Rio Grande.
Mini-concert by folk singers Peter Yarrow (Peter, Paul & Mary) and Bethany Yarrow, activists in social justice and environmental issues
6:15 p.m. –- Light refreshments
6:45 p.m. -- Mini- concert with Peter Yarrow and Bethany Yarrow
7:30 p.m. -- Film screening of The River and the Wall (97 minutes)
9:10 p.m. –- Following film, audience conversation with the Yarrows, moderated by Maggie Burnette Stogner, Executive Director, Center for Environmental Filmmaking.
