Event description
Hear from Saeeda Cook, Shorts Coordinator at Field of Vision, a documentary producing group that commissions original short-form docs.

About this Event

Field of Vision is a filmmaker-driven documentary unit that commissions and creates original short-form nonfiction films about developing and ongoing stories around the globe. They produce cinematic work that tells the stories of the world from new perspectives. Committed to short-form films, FOV provides their filmmakers the necessary support and resources to create their films.

- So how does one become a FOV filmmaker? What are they looking for?

Hear from Saeeda Cook, the Shorts Coordinator at Field of Vision as well as an independent film producer.

Field of Vision was co-created by Laura Poitras, the acclaimed filmmaker and journalist, whose film CITIZENFOUR won an Oscar for best documentary, along with Charlotte Cook, a curator, writer and producer and former Director of Programming at Hot Docs, who is also the Executive Producer at FOV.

This is an evening seminar presented by Third World Newsreel and the Documentary Forum at CCNY.
