Central Library's Literature and Fiction Department presents a free screening of the soon-to-be released film "The Bookshop," based on the novel of the same name by Penelope Fitzgerald. The film stars Emily Mortimer, Bill Nighy and Patricia Clarkson.

It is the tale of an intrepid young woman determined to run a bookshop in a town that just may not be ready for one. The film won Spain's top film award, the Goya, for best film, best director, and best adapted screenplay. It will be released in theatres on August 24th.
