Film Screening of IN SO MANY WORDS
Event Information
About this Event
The Justice Love Foundation invites you to watch this riveting documentary about Dr. Lucy Daniels. Born into a prominent Raleigh newspaper family, Lucy lived, and almost died, by her ability to write. Despite suffering from severe anorexia, and enduring brutal and barbaric treatment in mental hospitals far from home, she penned a bestseller and won a Guggenheim, all before age twenty-two. Dr. Lucy Daniels went on to be a writer and clinical psychologist. In 1989, she founded the Lucy Daniels Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering emotional and creative freedom through education, outreach and psychoanalytic treatment and research; and the Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood, which uses psychoanalytic principles to promote the emotional development of young children and their parents. Join us for dinner, the film screening and a discussion with Dr. Daniels.
Dinner starts at 5:15 PM and the film will begin at 6:15 PM with discussion to follow. This free event is sponsored by the Justice Love Foundation. Dr. Daniels will have copies of her books available for purchase. We hope to see you there!
