Event description
The Untold Story of the Victims and Survivors of the Charleston Church Shooting

About this Event

Executive-produced by Steph Curry and actress Viola Davis, this 77-minutes long powerful documentary features intimate interviews with survivors and family members of the nine African-Americans slain in 2015 by a 21-year-old white supremacist who had been welcomed into their bible study at Mother Emanuel AME Church.

Special guest, Councilman Malcolm Graham, will share his personal story of a strong faith that helped him work through anger and grief to start a community foundation to memorialize and honor the legacy of his sister, Cynthia Graham Hurd, one of the slain churchgoers. Join the Social Justice team and psychologists, parishioners Dr. Susan Campbell and Dr. John Hall, for film screening and discussion of “Emanuel: The Untold Story of the Victims and Survivors of the Charleston Church Shooting” on Tuesday, February 18, 6:00–8:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

Free Parking at TransAmerica Square Garage at 7th & N. Tryon (across from St. Peter’s 7th street entrance). Bring garage ticket to event for validation.
