Event description

Description

Doors will open at 6:30 PM for a 7:00 PM start.

Bad science and body-horror have been the mainstays of the macabre almost from the very beginning.

A young boffin develops a 'disintegrator-integrator', a machine that can transport matter instantaneously from place to place.

After a catastrophic trial turns a cat into a loud, disembodied meow, he tries to transmit his own body. However, there's a fly in the ointment - a real fly in the machine, resulting in a genetic mix-up: a fly with a man's head, and a man with a fly's head and arm.

While most mutant films in the insect fear subgenre of the 1950's were about atomic radiation, 'The Fly' concerns scientists who push the boundaries of exploration too far, climaxing in one of the most tragic scenes in cinematic history.

The film will be preceded by an introduction by Gareth Miles.

Tickets: £12.00.
