Film night fundraiser screening of Two Killings of Sam Cooke

About this Event

Screening and discussion of the 2019 documentary "The Two Killings of Sam Cooke", the famous black singer/songwriter who many don't know formed his own record label for black musicians and was a political activists fighting for black self-determination in the music industry. His mysterious and sudden death on the eve of owning his own black music company sparks questions that we will look at with an African Internationalist lense in the following discussion.

Suggested donation $5, fundraiser for the Black Power Blueprint, a black self-determination project in North St. Louis.

Hosted by the Uhuru Solidarity Movement, the reparations organization for white people in solidarity with black power, created by and accountable to the African People's Socialist Party. We organize in the white community for reparations to African people.
