Event description

Description

Are you heading to the Sundance Film Festival? We'd love it if you'd join us and your peers for a gathering to discuss your work, your priorities, and collaborations in the field.

Whether it's your first time at Sundance, or you're a seasoned pro, this film funder gathering is designed for you to learn about new projects and network with your colleagues. And we're really passionate about giving you ample time to make the connections you need to help strengthen your work, and the field.

In addition to sharing your thoughts on your organization's 2019 priorities, we'll hear from two representatives of the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation—President and Director Penelope McPhee and John Bare, vice president for programs—on a new partnership with Working Films and Atlanta-based community organizations. The initiative is working to shift the culture of nonprofits and public institutions in Atlanta to embrace documentary films and other nonfiction media.

We'll also hear from Sandy Herz, Skoll Foundation's director of global partnerships, and Brenda Coughlin, director of producing and impact strategy at Sundance Institute, who will share the latest evolution, impact, and learning from their decade-long Stories of Change partnership. Stories of Change connects independent storytellers with social entrepreneurs to support the creation of compelling narratives about solutions to urgent social issues.

Brunch will be served.

We're looking forward to seeing you at Sundance!

Note: This is a funders-only gathering.
