Description

Film 5.0 is a seminar that is unique one-of-a-kind training that focuses on what an actors job is and what they need to know.

This is an interactive seminar that makes use of exercises, discussions, and examples to help actors hone essential skills and terminology for your very first day on set and beyond. We get hands on.

You'll hear from industry professionals about acting, films, directing and much more.

Course instructors:

Steve Hiller is a seasoned cameraman who has worked on Hollywood films for over 30 years. He has traveled to Vietnam and many other countries shooting films. Steve is a highly regarded talent and respected voice by his peers. He has worked on such movies as The Outsiders, The Fugitive and Terms of Endearment. With a passport in hand, Steve is ready to go to any destination. Telling stories with a camera is what he loves. Steve's alma matters are Columbia College in Chicago, Northeastern University. He is a decorated Vietnam War veteran (66-67) where he served as a member of the USMC.

Linda Gacskó has worked in the motion picture business for more than 20 years. A graduate of Ball State University, Linda has experience in camera, writing, directing and producing. Her dream of working on movie sets started when she was a child. Achieving that goal beyond her highest expectations, has made Linda a champion and voice for people thinking about making their own dreams come true. Today Linda is a film 5.0 co-founder, motivational speaker, comedian and supporter of the women's movement. Her inspiring story (with dyslexia, no less) helps show other what it takes to achieve entertainment industry dreams.
