Event description

Description

On November 30, 2017, the Philippine National Day Association will be hosting its inaugural “Filipino Fork” – an event celebrating Filipino Food in the Farm-to-Fork Capital! Some of the most world-renowned culinary minds like Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern have recently described Filipino food as the “next big thing in American cuisine.” With that said, we want to celebrate our culture in a way it’s never been done in Sacramento!

We are inviting the community to The California Museum to experience a variety of Filipino cuisine prepared by some of the most talented local culinary artists. These artists will share a sampling of their dishes during a multi-course serving throughout the evening. They will be sharing their dish, its history, and their own stories.

Throughout the evening, attendees will hear about PNDA’s achievements in 2017, its new projects like the Filipino American Mentorship Program (FAM), and its future goals to continue empowering the youth and the community.

All proceeds will go towards PNDA's scholarship project for 8th and 12th graders (Outstanding Filipino Youth Awards), the annual Filipino American Youth Leadership Conference at Sacramento State, and new programs like FAM and our Filipino arts education initiative, LahiARTS.

Seating is limited, so get your tickets before they're gone!
