Event description
Hunger Initiatives has been hard at work to ensure everyone has access to quality meals. Come learn about how you made this possible!

About this event

Before the pandemic, 1 in 7 children was at risk of hunger. Now, that number is 1 in 4.

Year-round, the Y provides meals and snacks to thousands of kids but now, at a time when resources for many families who were already vulnerable are shrinking and uncertain, access to healthy food is even harder. During this pandemic, we're meeting people where they are and getting innovative with our own resources to meet this unfunded, increased demand.

Join us on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 11am-12pm to hear how YMCA of Greater Seattle has expanded our Hunger Initiatives to ensure kids and families have access to healthy meals and snacks. We will be joined by valued community partners, Y members, and volunteers to show how we are working hand in hand to make sure no kid goes hungry during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

Details to join the event will be in a follow up email.
