This webinar will provide attendees with a better understanding of person-centered language and implementing strategies to address stigma to improve patient outcomes and care.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify stigmatizing language commonly associated with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).
  2. Determine person-first alternative terms, which can be employed in reducing stigma and supporting patients with OUD.
  3. Propose scenarios within a pharmacy setting where reducing stigma might improve outcomes for patients with OUD and create strategies to reduce stigmatizing language.
