Fight for Air Climb
Sat, April 8, 2017, 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM EDT
“Increase your endurance and become a longer and stronger runner by participating in the Fight for Air Climb Newark.”
The 3rd Annual New Jersey Fight for Air Climb is returning to Newark on April 8, 2017 and the American Lung Association is challenging the community to fight for healthy air and lungs!
Located across from Newark Penn Station, in the heart of the downtown district, the One Gateway Center will welcome participants to challenge themselves by climbing (28) floors in honor of those they know who are struggling to breathe or have lost their lives to lung disease.
The event is open to all fitness levels. Exit floors are designated for anyone who wishes to shorten their climb.
We know a lot about lung disease, but there is so much we don’t know. Your participation will raise lifesaving funds to provide education, research and advocacy to our community. Participants are required to pay a registration fee and raise a minimum of $100. Can’t climb, but want to enjoy the day with us? Register as a virtual climber and we’ll waive your registration fee and you’ll still get a t-shirt!
Join us on the morning of Saturday, April 8th at One Gateway Cente for the Climb for your life! After the climb, friends, family, participants and sponsors are invited to Redd’s Biergarten, across from the One Gateway Center for awards and celebration. Participants will receive complimentary food and drink specials.
