Kids hear about climate change and it sounds pretty scary and overwhelming...but, it doesn't have to be because there are solutions! Our tour begins with a storybook called "Buried Sunlight" which explains how fossil fuels were created, why humans use them, and how plants can help us reverse the negative impacts. Then, you'll traverse the farm digging into soil, discovering soil microbes, and uncovering the mighty power of photosynthesis. In the end, your student will better understand how eating farm fresh foods grown in healthy soils is "fighting climate change with your fork!" Most appropriate for 3rd to 6th grade.
