Our Fierce Foods Academy is a kid-focused cooking class designed to empower families to incorporate healing foods into their family's wellness plan. Kids will learn about fighting bad guys (colds, germs, and even cancer) while super boosting their goods guys. With Fierce Foods on our plates may we all thrive against cancer and other bad guys.
The topic for the November 9th class is Sugar-Free Sweets, just in time for the holidays!
We're proud to partner with the Saddleback College Child Development Center to produce the Fierce Foods Academy. Children are welcome in the academy and little ones will have plenty of space to play in case they lose interest. Most kids aged 3-years-old on will be fully incorporated into the event, but are not required to sit still. We like to move around and shake things up!
About MaxLove Project's Fierce Foods Academy
To empower children, families, and communities fighting childhood cancers to leverage whole-body nutrition and wellness in treatment, prevention, and survivorship.
The Fierce Foods Academy will be a community resource empowering families through accessible healing strategies, developing healthy and sustainable lifestyles while fostering a broader community of “fierce foodies.” We recognize that anticancer nutrition is a journey, not a destination. The Fierce Foods Academy will honor each individual’s and family’s nutritional goals by providing members with practical cooking skills, nutritional shopping literacy, and evidenced-based nutritional principles. We believe that by offering kid-friendly, practical, and scientific nutrition education, the Fierce Foods Academy can transform the health and wellness of our communities, taking a stand against childhood cancers and a myriad of other childhood health concerns such as diabetes and obesity.

When & Where
MaxLove Project is a Santa Ana, California based nonprofit organization with a mission to increase the quality of life and reduce health risks for all children surviving cancer, both in treatment and beyond. We empower families fighting childhood cancers and related life-threatening conditions with quality of life care, fierce foods, whole-body wellness resources, education and research. We believe that true health starts when families are empowered to be active partners in their child’s healing.
At MaxLove Project, we invest in hope. Today, nearly 80% of all children diagnosed with some cancers survive beyond 5 years. While this is great news for many, the fight for most is never over. Researchers now know that the treatments that save lives also increase later risks for serious, life-threatening illnesses. These health risks are lifelong, increase with age, and can result in early death.
This is why we’re kickstarting our own wellness revolution, one specifically for kids and families fighting cancer and the lifelong effects of cancer treatment. MaxLove Project’s mission is to empower families fighting childhood cancers and related life-threatening conditions with quality of life care, fierce foods, whole-body wellness resources, education and research. We believe that true health starts when families are empowered to be active partners in their child’s healing.
