Description

Asia Contemporary Art Week (ACAW)'s acclaimed annual forum

in collaboration with ACAW Consortium Partner Alserkal Avenue

Friday, January 25th - Saturday, January 26th, 2019 in Dubai, UAE

Thanks for your interest in registering for FIELD MEETING Take 6: Thinking Collections, an exclusive two-day forum for arts professionals (curators, scholars, museum directors, artists, students & members of the press), with limited seating open to the general public.

This year's iteration premiers for the first time offsite to stage newly conceived performances, lecture-performances, pop-ups, and lively discussions by over 35 artists, scholars, and curators from Asia and beyond, exploring the notion of “collection”. FIELD MEETING Take 6 will specifically investigate ACAW Director Leeza Ahmady's proclamation of “seeing the artist as the first collector and artists’ studios as primary collections” alongside the larger questions of how art professionals and their activities in relation to "collections" contribute to the making of the art world and its ecology on a daily basis.

Curated by ACAW Director Leeza Ahmady
