All Charlotte area dogs are encouraged to bring their humans to Fido Fest, a furry friendly extravaganza of fun, food and festivities on Saturday, November 2 in South End. Fido Fest is a street party dedicated to and just for dogs and their humans. Festivities kickoff with the 2X4 Dog Walk—where two and four-legged companions can stroll the rail trail through Charlotte’s coolest ‘hood. Dogs are free and only $10.00 per human with proceeds from the 2X4 Dog Walk to benefit CMPD Animal Care & Control.
The Fido Fest 2X4 Dog Walk will begin on Carson Blvd with a 3K down and back course along the Rail Trail and through the heart of Historic South End. The walk starts at 9am with check-in/registration starting at 8am.
To wrap things up, the streets between South Tryon and South Boulevard (at Carson) will be blocked off for a dog-flavored Pooch Party. Let the sniffing begin!

**Well behaved dogs are welcome at Fido Fest! Your dog should be comfortable in a festival setting, not aggressive around humans and other dogs, on a leash at all times (retractable leashes set at no more than 6' long) and any messes should be cleaned up promptly.
**If you are taking your dog on the 3K walk, please make sure they are in good enough physical shape to safely walk that distance. Water stations, waste stations and clean up bags will be located along the walk route and festival area."
