John McCutcheon was the first artist Fiddle & Bow presented when we began in 1981. He has performed a number of times over the years, including our 25th Anniversary concert in 2006. He performed again in 2011, which was our 30th anniversary year and he is performing again this year, which is our 35 anniversary year! He is one of the most popular artists on the American folk scene and a multiple Grammy nominee. Highly skilled on fiddle, hammered dulcimer, banjo and guitar, John's shows are described as "... little feats of magic." He is considered a master of the hammered dulcimer and is one of the first to popularize the instrument back in the '70's and '80's. In addition to being a fine musician, John is also an excellent songwriter and interpreter of traditional songs. The return of John to our stage is always a welcome and exciting event.
