Are you a storyteller? Are you brilliant? Can you prove it in three days?

We’re looking for the next great flash fiction masters! Think you can write a winning story in 1,000 words or fewer, given only THREE DAYS? Enter The Great Flash Fiction War for your chance to win cash and get published!

FIFTEEN FINALISTS will be awarded cash and inclusion within the next seasonal Fiction War Anthology. Each finalist will receive a copy.

ONE CHAMPION entry will be selected from the Finalists, awarded the top cash prize, and be the opening story.

  • Fiction War is open to anyone 18 years or older.

  • Entries must be original, previously unpublished work, created expressly for and during the current Three Day Fiction War.

  • Entries must be 1000 words or fewer, including title.

  • Entries must be submitted via Google Form invitation (Google account is REQUIRED - if needed, one can be created within minutes for free).

  • Entrant’s name/contact info should not appear anywhere within the body of the work.

  • Blind judging - entries identified only by number until judging is completed.

  • Multiple entries are allowed - each entry requires its own nonrefundable entry fee and separate registration.

  • Anyone editorially or financially affiliated with the Fiction War is not eligible to participate.

  • Full publishing copyrights are retained by the author of the original work. By submitting, author agrees to grant Wolvesburrow Productions continuing, non-exclusive rights to reproduce the author's work as part of the specified anthology - online and in print.

  • Simultaneous submissions are not allowed for Fiction War competition works.

  • All submitted works are considered for publication.

  • All works selected for publication will be subject to editing.

  • This competition is entirely dependent upon writing skill, it is NOT a game of chance with any respect whatsoever.

  • Competition & publication numbers, dates, and details are subject to change without notice.

  • Awards payable via PayPal 60 days following Champion announcement or 30 days following print publication, whichever is sooner.

  • All judge/editor decisions are final
