The Cookie Walk takes place December 3-4, during the Frankfort Historic Business Association’s Christkindl celebration, from 12-4PM. Stroll through charming downtown Frankfort, beautifully decorated for the season, and pick up a delicious gourmet cookie at each of the participating merchants on your walk. Take a break from walking and hop on the vintage horse drawn wagon, decked out for the holidays. (Plan for 1-2 hours to make it to every store on your list.)
Tickets for the walk are $15 and include an individually wrapped, gourmet cookie from 20+ merchants, as well as unlimited rides on the horse drawn wagon.
Tickets are available online payable by credit card or with cash or check at This & That Gifts, White Street Café and La Vie Vintage.
Please bring your print-at-home ticket to the Check In table inside the Trolley Barn between 12 and 3PM on Saturday, December 3, or Sunday, December 4. You will EXCHANGE your printed ticket for your Cookie Walk bag, wristband and participating merchant map. No cookies will be given out in the stores without the bag/wristband/map. Please plan to finish your walk on the day you start. Walk ends each day at 4PM.
The Cookie Walk goes both days, regardless of weather. Sorry, no refunds are available.
NOTE: This event usually sells out. However, if tickets are still available on December 3-4, they will be sold at the check-in table inside the Trolley Barn (11 S. White Street).
OTHER "NOT TO BE MISSED" FAMILY EVENTS DURING CHRISTKINDL:
- The FAHS Christkindl Lantern Parade stepping off at dusk (@4:45PM) on December 3 from the Frankfort Area Historical Society Museum (132 Kansas). Each child will receive a beautiful hand-cut white paper lantern and glow stick to keep, courtesy of FAHS. St. Nicholas will lead the parade down Kansas Street to Breidert Green for a story by the bonfire with hot cocoa and cookies.
- The live reindeer will once again visit Frankfort on Sunday, December 4, from 12-3PM. Find them on Breidert Green across from Smokey Barque. Bring your camera!
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There is no minimum age, but each person collecting a cookie must have an FHBA Cookie Collection bag, wristband and merchant map. You will receive these items with each paper ticket you exchange at the Check In table the day of the event.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Free parking is available throughout the downtown. There are Village lots on White Street just north of Kansas, at Oak and Kansas adjacent to Breidert Green and at Oak and Elwood just west of the Breidert Green lot. Street parking is also free.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
This is definitely a family event; however, many of our stores are in historic structures with narrow entrances. This can make it difficult for strollers to get in and out of some stores. Many guests choose to have one adult wait outside with the stroller while the other adult goes in (with older children) and collects the cookies. NOTE: Each Cookie Walker must have the official Cookie Collection bag, event wristband and map in order to receive your cookie.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please email email@example.com or call Nancy at This & That Gifts, 815.534.5110.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes. You will exchange your ticket at the Check In table in the Trolley Barn betweeen 12 and 3PM on either day for an FHBA Cookie Walk collection bag, event wristband and merchant map which must be shown at each location when picking up your cookie.
What is the refund policy?
Sorry, no refunds.
