Description

Fat Girls Hiking Adventure Club is going camping!

Join us on the Oregon Coast for 2 nights of camping, fat tire biking, hiking, mindful movement & meditation, beach time, campfire karaoke, exploring the town of Newport and body positive community! We have 20 spots available for group camping at Beverly Beach State Park in Newport, OR. Fat Girls Hiking community members, friends/family, allies, kids & friendly dogs are welcome to join us for our first camping trip.

Fat Girls Hiking's body positive group events are open to ALL genders, ALL sizes, ALL skill levels. We will go at a pace that feels good for everyone. No one is too slow to hike/bike/camp with us! We love to share our lived experiences in this community and hope to create a space where ALL feel welcome. We ask that anyone who joins our group events refrain from diet talk, body shaming or weight loss talk.

Opt-In Activities: Fat Tire Biking, Hiking, Mindful Movement & meditation, exploring independently and visiting the nearby town of Newport!

The Campground: Hidden in a forest between Cape Foulweather and Yaquina Head, Beverly Beach State's creekside campground is one of the state’s largest. Some campsites and the park's day-use area are just steps away from miles of ocean beach. The park is central to excellent whale watching viewpoints, tidepools teeming with sea life, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and shops and restaurants in Newport. There are pit/vault & flushable toilets & showers at the campground. There is potable (drinkable) water at the campground.

How to get There: Beverly Beach State Park is on the Central Oregon Coast & is 10 minutes from Newport, 2.5 hours from Portland, 2 hours from Eugene & 1.5 hours from Salem. GPS can be used by typing “Beverly Beach State Park.” Campsite information will be emailed.
