Description

UF/IFAS Extension in Lake County is hosting the Homeowner Education Landscape Program (HELP), a 3-class program as part of the Florida Friendly Landscaping Series. The nine-hour educational program will be held from 9 a.m. – noon on December 1st, 8th & 15th at the Lake County Agricultural Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares.

The classes will be presented by UF/IFAS Extension Agents Brooke Moffis, Jim Davis and Master Gardener Steve Guch.

Pre-registration is require by November 17. 2017 Registration is $30 and is available online at lake.ifas.ufl.edu. Space is limited. Participants will receive micro-irrigation supplies and a Plant Selection and Landscape Design Guide

Participants are required to attend all three classes, which will address frequently asked questions and problems in the home landscape. The series is being offered to give participants both classroom and hands-on training on how to calibrate a fertilizer spreader, install a micro-irrigation system, and select plant materials. .
