Congratulations are in order, because you’ve mastered the basics of Family History research! In fact, you’ve done so well - and are so refreshingly enthusiastic - that others readily enlist your help in solving their family history challenges. So you’re an expert, right?

However, that’s pretty ironic, don’t you think? Because you’re increasingly aware of just how much you don’t know about family history research!

Don’t despair - Help is at hand from FFHS.


Saturday 18th May - Priory Street Centre, York

Our FFHS Every Ancestor Matters Conference programme has been assembled to both broaden and deepen your understanding of the wonderfully diverse and absorbing interest we call 'Family History'.

On Saturday 18th May you can expect to discover answers to many questions you don’t yet know to ask! Intrigued? You should be! Are you enthusiastic to learn from acknowledged experts?

The FFHS Every Ancestor Matters Conference sessions at the Priory Street Centre, York on Saturday 18th May are designed to enlighten your understanding. Our programme includes talks by the following accomplished speakers:


John Hanson - Professional Genealogist

Getting there:

By Rail

The Priory Centre is approximately a 600 metres walk from York Railway Station.


By Car

There is limited on-site pay and display parking available on a first come first served basis - current all-day charge £7:00. The car park is situated behind the nursery block and is clearly signed. There are also a limited number of blue badge parking spaces located outside The Centre entrance.
