The Festival of Pride and Knowledge 2021 is a series of events organised by the CILIP LGBTQ+ Network to celebrate Pride virtually.

Welcome to the Festival of Pride and Knowledge 2021: Know Pride!
We have organised a jam-packed two-week celebration of Pride and Library, Knowledge & Information workers.
Our programme is stretched between the 14th - 25th of June. You can either book a ticket for all events, or cherry-pick the events you're most excited to see.
All tickets are free.
The Programme:
- 14th June, 6 pm: Festival of Pride and Knowledge Launch & Social Event with Quiz.
- 15th June 6 pm: Lavender Menace - A talk from the founders of Edinburgh's first lesbian and gay bookshop, with short presentations from CILIP Scotland and the Scottish Students & New Professionals Network
- 17th June 1 pm: Full View: LGBTQ+ library collections on show! with Norena Shopland - a collaboration with CILIP Wales
- 21st June 6 pm: Decolonising the Library Catalogue - Join this International Panel with speakers May Chan, Diane Pennington, and Emily Drabinski, chaired by LGBTQ+ Committee's Steven Dryden as they discuss how to better represent marginalised people in library catalogues.
- 23rd June 6.30 pm: Launch event for LGBTQ+ Positive Voices, an online creative exhibition celebrating positive perspectives and experiences of LGBTQ+ people. More information here: https://ashcreates.home.blog/lgbtq-exhibition/
- 24th June 6 pm: Drag Prince performance
- 25th June 6 pm: An Evening with LGBTQ+ Librarians - Join speakers Kerry Flett, Tom Peach, Jass Thethi, and Frank Norman as they talk about their work, how they got involved in it, as well as how identifying as LGBTQ+ has affected their approach to it. Chaired by CILIP Y&H's Beth Montague-Hellen.
