Put on the Ritz, your caps and spats, your beads and fringe and feather boas! Festa Primavera, the annual auction and dinner hosted by St. Helena Montessori, will celebrate its 28th event with a roaring 20's theme, “Speakeasy,” on February 27th, 2016. The evening will be complete with live performances, interactive experiences, and exquisite and unmatched auction lots in both silent and live auctions.
The funds raised by Festa help provide financial aid, scholarships, and educational materials for all St. Helena Montessori students, professional development for faculty, and maintain and grow the school facility. It is also thanks in part to the proceeds of Festa that St. Helena Montessori has been able to build a 20-acre school and farm campus that embodies the ideals of the Montessori philosophy.
St. Helena Montessori was founded in 1981 by Mrs. Elena Heil and Mrs. Olga McAdam, who taught the first Montessori Primary Class. In 1985, the school expanded to include a Montessori Elementary Class, and in 2008, an Adolescent Program / Farm School was added. In 2011, the Adolescent Program relocated to a 20-acre parcel on the east side of St. Helena, and by 2013, the entire school was housed on the new property. St. Helena Montessori is a not-for-profit, public benefit corporation that is governed by a Board of Directors. Learn more at www.sthms.org.
