Event description

Description

Savia Gavazza is a visiting professor from Brazil, who has been collaborating with the Edwards lab. Savia and her family have been in Toronto for almost a year, and will be going back to Brazil mid-July. The BioZone Council is hosting a farewell party for Savia and her family, in the form of a traditional Brazilian party that happens in late June. It is called Festa Junina, which translates to "June Party" in Portuguese, and it's a gathering to celebrate the harvest season. Some of Savia's friends from Brazil will be in Toronto, and will also be joining us!

The party will be a potluck dinner, and the link for sign up sheet can be found here.

Traditionally, Brazilians wear plaid, as below!

Bring your best smile and get ready to learn some Brazilian dance moves ;)!
