Fertilizer GI-BMP (English) at Brooker Creek Preserve
Please allow 20 minutes to get from the Brooker Creek Preseve entrance to the classroom.
Check in starts at 8:00 AM. If you are pre-registered and we have your name you don't need a ticket. Bring your driver's license or equivalent. If you are already GI-BMP certified you can check in at 9 AM.
This training is for anyone that wants to apply fertilizers. It is required for anyone that wants to apply fertilizers commercially. This training is focused on reducing non-point source pollution resulting from fertilization or pesticide application.
This class provides the training and testing necessary to obtain the GI-BMP certificate. GI-BMP certification will be awarded to those passing the exam (75% or better score).
The GI-BMP certificate is then used to obtain the Limited Fertilizer License by submitting an application and fee ($25) to the State of Florida.
If you are already GI-BMP certified and are attending class only for CEUs you can arrive at 9 AM and leave at approximately 3:45 PM.
This course can also be taken online. NOTE: There are no CEUs given with the online course. We strongly recommend that you download and read the manual prior to taking the online course or attending the classroom session.
Refunds are given if you notify us 3 days in advance that you have to cancel.
We will provide breakfast items including coffee, snacks and lunch.
A maximum of 4 CEUs can be earned by attending this class. Attendees will earn 2 CORE and may select their 2 additional CEUs from: Pvt. App. Ag., Ornamental & Turf (O&T), Limited Lawn & Ornamental (LL&O), Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance (LCLM), or Commercial Lawn & Ornamental (Comm. L&O).

Minimum class size required is 10. You will be notified at least a day in advance in case of cancellation.

We will provide a full refund for cancellations made by Pinellas County Extension. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process. Payment - We require full payment at time of reservation so be prepared with a credit card to complete this transaction. Refunds - Refunds will be made in the event of a class cancellation or if the registrant requests a refund 24 hours prior to the class time. Reservations - You must be 18 to make a reservation. If you are under 18 and want to attend a class you must register and attend with a parent or guardian.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes. You must bring the original ticket.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. Only if you are replacing someone else do you need to bring a ticket.
What is the refund policy?
You need to request a refund at least one day prior to the event.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
If the registration/ticket does not match the original person you need to bring the original ticket with you.
