Event description

Description

Please join us for this month's garden learning series. The topic will be "Stone Fruit Trees". Apricots, cherries, nectarines, peaches, plums, and prunes make up the stone fruit family. Alameda County doesn’t have the winter chill hours that some areas do for successful fruiting of these trees. Learn which particular varieties will grow well in our climate as well as how and where to plant them. Caring for them includes irrigation, training and pruning, thinning, and fertilization. Pests, diseases and environmental stresses will also be reviewed. This talk will be given by Alameda Count Master Gardener Deb Fries. Our talks are open and free to the public.

Alameda County Master Gardners may count this towards CE.
