About this event

It is said that your gut is the most important part of your immune system. Foods that are pickled, fermented or made with sourdough contain an abundant amount of healthy bacteria - great for gut health. They taste great too! In this three series class we will be making:

Sauerkraut and Kimchi 

Fire Cider and Elderberry Syrup

Sourdough Starter and Bread 

This is a 3-series class. Classes will meet on February 8, 15 and 22nd from 10:00am-12:00pm

Heather Carey is a culinary nutritionist and owner of The Green Palette Kitchen, a teaching kitchen and event space in Southport, CT. Besides nutrition coaching and counseling, Heather makes healthy cooking easy by teaching her clients how to use real food, fresh herbs and spices to make simple food taste great.
