This event is an intergenerational discussion with women from different diasporic communities, to explore their perceptions of what feminism means and how it is perceived in their countries of origin and in their communities in Belgium.
Of importance is to understand the influence of the traditional image of women, regarding their culinary skills in diasporic communities and how that correlates with gender roles, expectations and the validation of women.
An initiative of the Food Bridge vzw with support from the office of Ms Lydia Mutyebele, alderwoman city of Brussels, Belgium and the Brussels city Equal Opportunities Unit's Women Rights week
