The 2018 theme is "Resilient Together" and will highlight the needs and preparedness efforts across diverse populations and communities – small, large, global, and local and how we can better address future risks as a whole community.

Speakers include:

  • Nextdoor – "Scaling Resilience Across Neighborhoods" featuring Steve Wymer, VP of Policy

  • CityLab

  • The World Bank's Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery

  • Mayor Bill Saffo of Wilmington, NC

  • The World Wildlife Fund

  • Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals

  • Enterprise Community Partners

  • Dorchester County, MD (Emergency Services)

  • The Community Foundation of Chattahoochee Valley

  • FEMA – Mr. David Maurstad, Deputy Associate Administrator for Insurance and Mitigation

We also look forward to featuring a Resilience Innovation Zone (RIZ) to showcase partners' latest tools and technology in resilience and preparedness. See demonstrations from AIR Worldwide, Union of Concerned Scientists, Cloud Parc, FEMA, and The World Bank, among others. A RIZ and networking reception will be held following the conclusion of the program.
