FEI President Andrej Suskavcevic will present an update on the national organization that will include the new strategic plan for FEI, as well as the services and programs FEI makes available to its members. These services include: Research provided by FERF, Career building tutorials and services, Conferences and Influence and Advocacy.
FEI issues comment letters authored by its member based technical committees on issues impacting FEI members and their companies. Several bills were passed recently that accomplished a number of FEI’s legislative priorities and set the stage to make progress toward others:
· Retroactively Extends Expired 2013 Tax Provisions
· House Passes Permanent and Improved R&D Credit
· Reforms ERISA Section 4062(e)
· House Passes TRIA Bill with Derivative End-User Margin Bill Language
· House Passes Centralized Treasury Unit Bill
· Congress Strips Provision from the FY 2015 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to Allow the Defense Contractor Audit Agency (DCAA) to Interview Any Contractor Employee for Audit Information
Andrej Suskavcevic was named President and CEO of Financial Executives International (FEI) and Financial Executives Research Foundation (FERF) in August 2015. FEI is the professional association of choice for senior-level corporate financial executives and the leading organization dedicated to advancing ethical, responsible financial management.
Mr. Suskavcevic brings more than 15 years of extensive association experience to his role at FEI. Having originally started his association management career with FEI, he was responsible for membership and Chapter relations, administrative services and new business development, rising to the position of Vice President, Operations. During his tenure he led the expansion of FEI’s member services specifically tailored to meet the needs of private company executives.
Prior to FEI, Mr. Suskavcevic was President and CEO of Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) where he successfully expanded the association by establishing an affiliate organization in the United Kingdom. He established Chapters and Sections to give CHA’s various constituents a voice in the organization and secured a partnership with the Society of Decorative Painters by providing management services for the Society and expanding member benefits for both organizations. Prior to joining CHA he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Commercial Finance Association (CFA), an association for the asset based lending and factoring community.
Mr. Suskavcevic holds the designation of Certified Association Executive (CAE) and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). He earned a B.S. in Finance from Montclair University and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
