Let’s: Speak easy as we hideout from nightlife’s typical drinks and played out scenes. The elegant Lauren Davis of The Raines Law Room is Popping-Up in a private Astoria setting to bring us some of the best ($$$) cocktails Manhattan has to offer for a fraction of the price. Bring your Friday the 13th luck and Monopoly money to try your hand at some shady activity.

We’d love to host: Nightlife enthusiasts in search of an underground cocktail experience, a fertilely social atmosphere, and some back alley gaming. Shhhh!

The Rundown:
Sip some of the best cocktails to be found by one of the most divine mixologist you ever laid eyes on, meet like-minded nightlife explorers in a private location, and test your Friday the 13th luck!

Party starts at 8pm and goes until the speakeasy bar runs dry. Request an Invite from the host for a shot at the password and location. Show up with your guest and no one else, please!

Ticket prices are all inclusive and for cost-sharing purposes (as with all Chowbunga events).
The ratio of male-female attendees will be kept as close to 50/50 as possible.
Dress Code: Cocktail Lounge attire.

Specialty Cocktails:
NOTE: This is a Specialty Cocktail event, not an eating affair.

Rumble: Blackberry, Lemon, Sugar, White Rum or Gin
Old Cuban: Bitters, Mint, Lime, Dark Rum, Champagne

Strong and Stirred
Remember the Main (Bourbon Manhattan): Bitters, Carpano Antica, Cherry Herring, Bourbon, Absinthe Rinse, served up

Mexican Firing Squad: Bitters, Lime, Grenadine, Tequila, Soda

About your divine mixologist:

Lauren has been bartending at The Raines Law Room since it opened three
years ago. She has a passion for making classic cocktails that are simple
and approachable. She is often called "Ms. Champagne" because of her love
for bubbles.

About the sponsor:

Located in the heart of Astoria, Grand Wine & Liquor offers the most extensive seleciton in the neigbhorhood of ethnic wines and spirits from around the world. Well organized and always fully stocked, they also have a knowledgable and friendly staff to help you find what you're looking for fast. Visit them online and check out their great reviews on Yelp.

About your back alley Bronx Baller:

Back by popular demand! Andy Vanman the Beverly Hills Bookie will trade in his now infamous pencil thin French mustache and rented suspenders from the Chowbunga Oscars blowout for a bowling shirt and some olive oil hair gel – a la the Bronx Baller! The game is Back Alley Dice - aka - Ghetto Craps! So bring some funny money, come get schooled at the University of Belmont Avenue, and see if you can hit that 2-2 on hard 4. Just be forewarned, if you're a heavy breather like Fat JoJo or you’ve got an ugly mug like Frankie Coffeecakes, you may get locked up in the bathroom.

About your host:

Amanda wouldn't dare be caught in any real back alley shenanigans. She's just too sweet. How sweet? Amanda is a professional, artisan confectioner! Translation: Amanda creates exquistely tasting and visually stunning cakes. She's a proud Astoria resident with a delightful dispostion, and would love to host a few of her neighbors for a unique and rewarding evening of Prohibition cocktails and illict role playing.
