Feel Good Menopause: Let's Walk and Talk in York - New Earswick

By Kirsty Dixon

Overview

Come and have a walk and natter about all things menopause. No experience necessary!! It is open to all.

We will meet on the main road by the noticeboard at the Folk Hall entrance for 10.30am. There is free car parking nearby. We'll have a wander along the river (or the village if the river is up) for a while then back for a cuppa in the dog friendly Hound Cafe if people wish. Feel free to bring your doggies.

DISCLAIMER

Please note that I organise these events in my personal time as a means of offering people a network to discuss menopause and get out and about. I will not check the route before the walk and people come along at their own risk. I take no responsibility for any accidents or damage/loss to property if this should occur. Thank you for your understanding. X

Why these walks?

Two of the things that can be so helpful for menopause is talking to others and movement. A walk can help your wellbeing as it can release 'feel good' hormones and is a great way to get us moving and off the sofa, which is brilliant, especially at this time of life. I have set up this group to offer people the opportunity to meet others, have a good old natter (another feel good thing), share experiences and hopefully, have a proper good laugh (blimey, another feel good thing) 😀. Whether you are experiencing menopause symptoms and want to chat to others or just want to find out more, you are welcome to come along. No age or gender restrictions either, in fact I would love to have some men come along. We need our allies and support network to understand it too!💖

There is also a FB page for the group so please do feel free to sign up for that too.
