Did you miss the last Feeding the Kids workshop series? Have you heard success stories from the participants and are ready to see the changes for your family now? Anyone who feeds a child will want to attend the upcoming "Feeding the Kids Workshops: Raising Happy, Healthy Eaters". Sponsored by Heritage Behavioral Health Consultants, these workshops are for parents or other adults who want their children to grow up eating--and enjoying--a greater variety of healthy foods.
Feeding the Kids workshops provide parents with easy to use information on selecting and serving healthy foods, while maintaining a happy atmosphere at the table. The workshops offer action-oriented solutions for common concerns such as how to help "picky eaters" try more foods, convincing children to eat their vegetables and strategies for enjoying junk food without over doing it.
The workshops will also feature "hands on" activities for finding the healthiest versions of favorite foods in grocery stores or restaurants. Everyone attending will come away with ideas for snacks, quick meals and recipe improvements.
Workshops are based on the award winning book, Feeding the Kids: The Flexible, No-Battles, Healthy Eating System for the Whole Family and led by Danielle (McGee) Mitchell, Registered & Licensed Dietitian.

Total registration for the workshop is $125 per person and includes light snacks, a copy of the book with recipes, and all handouts for implementing the system.

Danielle Mitchell RD, LD, LPC, M.Ed.
Danielle (McGee) Mitchell is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian (RD, LD) and Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. She completed a Master’s of Education in Counseling at the University of Houston and is currently working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Danielle graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, completed her dietetic internship from the University of Houston, and has been working as a dietitian for the last 4.5 years while pursuing her Master's degree in counseling. Danielle enjoys integrating her nutrition expertise with psychotherapy and counseling to help clients connect mind, body, and spirit. She provides individual therapy for clients with eating disorders, offers sessions in family therapy, conducts group therapy, and is passionate about integrative nutrition options for women’s concerns. Danielle enjoys public speaking and has provided several presentations on weight management, counseling in the nutrition setting, nutrition for autism, Asperger syndrome, and ADD/ADHD. She has guest lectured for counseling classes for nutrition students at the University of Houston. She hosts regular workshops for parents and caretakers called Feeding the Kids: Raising Happy, Healthy Eaters (see Upcoming Events). She is available, by appointment, for individual or group counseling as well as nutrition consultations or presentations.
