Federated Learning in Medicine: Breaking Down Silos to Advance Medical Research 

 

Founded in 2016, OWKIN partners with medical institutions and pharmaceutical companies to use "federated learning" for AI analysis of distributed biomedical data in multiple sites while preserving data privacy and security.

 

Speaker: Dr. Thomas Clozel, Co-Founder and CEO, OWKIN

 

Thomas is the CEO and Co-Founder at OWKIN, leading medical research and business intelligence. He is a former Assistant Professor of Clinical Onco-Hematology at Hôpital Henri Mondor in Paris. Thomas is also a former member of Ari Melnick’s lab at the Weill Cornell Medical College, where he co-led several projects focused on prediction of resistance to chemotherapy in B-cell lymphoma.
