Event description

Description

Recent disasters have demonstrated the need to work together. Collaboration prior to hazard events strengthens the foundation for communities to respond and recover quickly after an event. Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) are vital partners in building a more resilient nation, and we want to work together to further our common goals because we believe mitigation is everyone’s responsibility.

The Federal Partners in Mitigation and Resilience is a group of Federal agencies in Region VII (Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas) which has been meeting for several years to better align our programs and resources. Being truly effective requires increased visibility of where resources are being applied and where efforts can be aligned.

We are inviting NGO partners to join us at this workshop to build partnerships, identify opportunities and overcome challenges to help make our communities stronger.

This event is intended for Federal, State and NGO Partners who have received an invitation. Space will be limited. Once you have registered, you will be sent a confirmation email, including information regarding parking and security requirements.
