Watts, President of GPI, for this introductory session which provides business owners an overview of Federal contracts and SBA certification programs: This session provides information pertaining to Minority-Owned, WOSB, SDVOSB and HUBZone programs. By the end of this workshop, the business owner will be able to:
- Understand how Federal agencies award contracts to small businesses and its set-aside goals.
- Determine eligibility and benefits for SBA’s set-aside programs.
- Identify various contracting opportunities utilizing Federal websites.
- Identify federal request for quotations (RFQ) using sam.gov.
- Learn the information to include in RFQ responses.
- Build profit into RFQ responses.
- Learn the types of micro purchases ($25,000 and under) that are solicited by different government agencies.
- Learn how to use prior contract awards to conduct market research and create a strategy for your business.
- Learn about various Contracting Vehicles utilized by Federal agencies.
