RESTORATIVE YOGA DISTINCTIONS

No sweat. No stress. No stretch. Just float.

Explore and deepen your open heart space of self-love and compassion with a beautifully guided rose mediation. Bath in the soft pink light of the rose and feel its tender rose petals sooth your senses. Bring a loved one to share in the love!

Restorative Yoga is a practice designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. Yoga props, such as blankets, blocks, and bolsters are used to support the body so it can float and the mind can dream. This event is appropriate for students of all levels, all mobility, and all ages.

Ranya Anabtawi, yoga instructor to many of Silicon Valley's leading cofounders and executives, will lead this Restorative Yoga class. Ranya is a healer and creates a supportive, safe environment for students to fully relax, open, and work their body to its full potential.

NOT YOUR TYPICAL YOGA

Unlike more common forms of yoga, restorative yoga is not athletic at all. Rather, restorative yoga is physically relaxing and emotionally healing. Your heart rate drops, your busy mind frees itself from the workplace grind, your body releases tension, and creativity expresses itself more fluently. Ranya's soothing voice is her most distinguishing and, perhaps, most powerful tool. She uses it to physically and mentally guide you into their own unique version of rest.

Leveraging special yoga bolsters, blocks, blankets, eye pillows, and perhaps even a yoga mat, Ranya tailor designs the perfect poses to guide you into feeling weightless, comfort, and true deep rest. There is no stretching, athleticism, sweating, or difficulty in Restorative Yoga. It’s about surrendering. Sometimes surrender can be the hardest thing to do and she knows how to get you there. It’s all about comfort. It is as perfect for yoga beginners as it is for seasoned yoga practitioners.

Experience:

- A heart opening guided rose meditation

- Healing Reiki touch

- Deep states of relaxation

- Conscious, productive rest

Whether its leading students in meditation, sharing therapeutic yoga movements or speaking into the yoga philosophies as a way to look at life's ups and downs, students are left with tangible tools on and off the mat. Ranya is a certified and insured teacher. She has been practicing yoga for twenty years and has been teaching for over ten years. She is also a Reiki level two practitioner and uses Reiki during the yoga classes. (www.yogabyranya.com)
