Are you an aspiring children’s author? Could you benefit from valuable feedback on your work-in-progress? Do you want a safe and supportive place to share your work with fellow writers? If so, Kidlit Crit & Shine is for you.

This monthly critique group is led by award-winning children’s author, Marcie Colleen (Penguinaut! and the Super Happy Party Bears series).

Sign up to join us the third Tuesday of every month from 12-2pm at Verbatim Books in North Park! The workshop will be held in Verbatim Books' newly revamped event space.

Bring a copy of a work-in-progress to share. All pieces will be read aloud and then time will be given for helpful critique. No need to email your piece ahead of time or bring multiple copies.

Full manuscripts, or excerpts from longer works, must not exceed 3 pages, 12pt Times New Roman, double-spaced.

You may bring 7 copies of your manuscript to share with participants, if you choose.
