Event description
Beauty is all around us when we open our hearts to see. Walk with us as we deepen our connection to the living world.

About this Event

We hope you will join us for our February Gathering: Seeing with the Eyes of the Heart.

We'll begin in the retreat center to set our intentions. Then we'll move ouside to walk (or sit) silently in nature for 30 minutes to see with the eyes of our hearts, a way of deeply connecting to the Sacred all around and within us. We will have the opportunity to share what we have seen and felt when we return to the group, most likely around the fire circle. As is our practice, we will close with a brief time of conversation, light snacks, and fellowship.

Come early for a special sacred circle dance that will begin at 2:30 in the retreat center for anyone intersted. No prior knowledge required!

Wondering what to bring? First of all, dress for the weather; unless the weather is very challenging, we will be walking and talking outside. Benches are available around the fire pit, but you may bring a camp chair if you prefer. You will likely want to bring a blanket, reusable water bottle, and perhaps your journal and snacks to share. We will be accepting donations to cover the cost of meeting at Shepherd's Spring so please bring cash if you wish to contribute.

As you arrive, look for Church of the Wild signs that will direct you. Our gathering will be very near the parking area by the retreat center Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early so that you can park, check in and get settled; we will begin on time. If despite best laid plans you are late, please do come and join the circle; one of our greeters will discretely catch you up with what's happening.

Church of the Wild ~ Two Rivers is an emerging community, meeting in the midst of and drawing from the beauty of the living earth. Our intent is to deepen our connection to the Holy by being more fully present, open and available in each moment. We learn from the earth and trees, the waters and sky, and from all living beings, human and non-human.

You are welcome! We welcome anyone who seeks to deepen their spirituality through time in nature. Whatever your religious tradition, or if you have none, Christian or otherwise, no matter your gender identity or sexual orientation, you are welcome here. Children are welcome too; email us ahead of time so that we can offer suggestions to make this time more meaningful and relevant for them. Dogs are not permitted at this location.
