Join Gurus Monica Daniel, Adam Bedford Michael Kammes and Philip Hodgetts as they will attempt to answer all of your questions and solve all of your problems concerning FCS and FCPX, Avid, Premiere Pro and anything else you can think of. If they can't solve your problem or answer your question, then you go home with a problem, but you still got out of the house, so that's not a bad thing.
7:20PM - 7:25PM - Announcements
If we have time, this is your time. Get up and tell us something about yourself. Ask for a job, offer a job. Whatever you want. Keep it brief
7:30 - 8:00 - "VFX - Beyond the Explosions." Misha Tenenbaum
Visual effects are much more prevalent in films than just the big obvious shots. Often even simple shows have dozens or even hundreds of visual effects, making communicating information about those shots an increasingly important job. Organization is the key, and Misha Tenenbaum plans to show just that. He'll demonstrate how more than 200 shots were tracked in the recent JOBS film, and show the technical aspect of turning those shots over to the visual effects facility. He'll also display some great techniques for creating fast temp effects which are used to give the director options. Join us for a fun half an hour of VFX shop talk.
