Description

Don’t Think It Won’t Happen Just Because It Hasn’t Happened Yet – Surviving the Federal EEO Complaint Process

This interactive session will be presented in the format of a Chicago Chapter CLM study group session. If interested, our audience will have an opportunity to test their knowledge through pre- and post-tests and hypotheticals. We will hear from our guest speaker, Chicago attorney and law firm Administrator Scott Watson, who has defended clients for nearly 20 years before the EEOC. We will discuss the types of discrimination investigated by the EEOC, laws enforced by the EEOC, prohibited practices, recordkeeping, responding to a charge, mediation, and likely next steps after the EEOC issues its right to sue. This session is approved for CLE recertification credit, credit for functional specialists planning to sit for the exam, and one general CLE credit for attorneys. This bi-monthly is an excellent opportunity for Administrators to demonstrate the value of ALA and the CLM certification by inviting their attorneys to attend.

This luncheon is sponsored by KENO KOZIE.
