Architectural Concrete—An Innovative Approach to Concrete Restoration

Join us on February 22nd for dinner and a presentation by Amedeo Cilli of Architectural Concrete Excellence, LLC.

1 AIA Learning Unit will be awarded.

This presentation will cover architectural concrete methods, including quality installation standards, types of surface textures and treatments, vetting of contractors, etc.

About the Speaker:

Amedeo Cilli has been involved in the concrete industry since he immigrated to the United States in 1972. He often jokes that with a last name ending in a vowel, it was the pizza, garbage or concrete business! If you were to ask Amedeo today, he would tell you with a smile, “I believe I chose well!”

Architectural Concrete is Amedeo’s passion. Under his direction, Architectural Concrete Excellence has come to embrace all aspects of this medium, from stamping to overlays, staining, dyes, polishing, and precast. Amedeo has taken the concept of architectural concrete to a whole new dimension with his trademark “joint-less stamped concrete” and “cracking concrete.” With a client list of celebrities and high profile projects such as Yankee Stadium, Giant Stadium, Barclays Stadium and Rockerfeller Center.

Amedeo was also called in to restore floors for a Frank Lloyd Wright home. Amedeo has won numerous awards including the Grand Award for polishing the Becton Dickinson Campus Center by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Concrete Institute. The latest award was earned for staining 20,000 square feet for Eataly’s new location at World Trade Center. Major manufacturers also use photos of Amedeo’s work for international advertising campaigns.
