Description

Join members of the Creighton community in partnership with Lutheran Family Services to learn and hear stories about life in Omaha as a refugee.

Volunteer Roles:

Service may include working in the LFS warehouse, shopping as a group and visiting traditional grocery stores as well as locally owned ethnic grocery stores, setting up a refugee family's apartment, dropping off mail to refugee families and hearing their story, or preparing for cultural events in Omaha. Volunteers can learn about the refugee process and hear stories about what is happening in Omaha.

Leadership Onsite:

Two Creighton students will direct the volunteer group by dividing tasks to maximize efficiency.

For more information contact Eric Villarreal or Angie Ngo
