‘The Longest Flight’ - Phil Straw
Phil will talk about the Bar-tailed Godwit’s non-stop flight between NSW and Alaska.
Local issues will be covered and how people can help.
Phil Straw is the director of Avifauna Research & Services, the only company in Australia 100% dedicated to the conservation of wetlands and waterbirds.
He is also the president of BirdLife Southern NSW and manager of the Australasian bird fair.
Phil works to bridge gaps between the many bird groups in NSW and BirdLife to achieve conservation outcomes for our most critically threatened birds through a close association of like-minded individuals.
This is a talk not to be missed and we are honoured to host him.
Seats are limited, booking essential.
