Description

Join us November 9th at 10:30am for a Teen Talk with Melissa Dupre, the 2016 Eanes ISD Educator of the Year, teaches Senior AP English at Westlake High School.

Melissa will be speaking to moms of teens and preteens about test scores, college acceptances, and more.

Melissa works on the school’s Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Committee, and the GPA Committee, as well as serving as Student Council sponsor. She is in her 11th year at Westlake High School, and has 24 total years of teaching experience.

Last year, Melissa spearheaded the campus-wide focus on SEL and the encouraged Westlake High School to participate in Stanford University's Challenge Success program, which focuses on creating a more balanced and academically fulfilling life for students, that is not overly focused on grades, test scores, and performance, leaving little time for kids to develop the necessary skills to become resilient, ethical, and motivated learners. She is passionate about the work she does on these committees and is THRILLED to share her knowledge with moms of teens!

We recommend this talk for moms of children in 6th grade and up. If your children are all younger than middle school, we suggest that your time will be best spent in small groups during this talk unless you have a specific reason for attending!
